07 Gold Price Currently & what should be coming

-Summer coming to a end, (2 weeks or less for most in America)

-Gold gradually drops until around mid-late September.


What comes next:

-Major gold spike during raids release, can see it getting upwards of $1.4-$1.5/m+ again, Raids will be the largest OSRS update for quite some time(Raids are also a giant team thing, which is typically very good for OSRS prices, due to many people wanting to do the update with their friends/stream it).

-Gold will ride the rise through October then slump down to $1.2-$1.3/m retail in november

-Gold will Rise around early December and peak at $1.5-$1.6/m until winter break & the holidays are over.


There's ur forecast from myself, Lets see in 5 months if I was right eh?

Atm if people were smart they'd be buying up all the OSRS because its the end of summer, prices are the lowest they'll get for a while because the Holiday season and Raids will do nothing but make it go up up up.

You watch, 07 will get down to around $1.25/m retail until around late August and then you'll see the climb.

For gold to rise 50% would have to be a damn big update, raids is big in the PvM atmosphere but i dont think it'll meet its hype. I give it a maximum of $1.1-1.2 when raid comes out, hopefully im wrong lol

 

probably agreeable but i kind of wish they wouldnt of put the g.e back in it rates were more steady then

 

I heard that Last man standing has sunk an insane 6b+ 07 so far since its release today, I think ur going to see gold stabilize and get into a steady rise in septemeber like I said.

 

In what way? 25 people pay 100K each. 1st place 1.5M 2nd and 3rd 500K each. There is no money sink there or am I missing something?

 

Raids could be so great for the game's overall health as well as the economy. I know I've been anxiously fine-tuning my account to get ready for Raids. I can't wait to see what impact it has.

Shame it didn't come out in July like originally slated. The middle of the summer it coming out would have been preferable but oh well. Haven't been this excited for a piece of Runescape content in a long time.

I do happen to have some "minor" experience in determing gold prices, nothing major of course .

 

24 people = 2.4m entry
1st place: 1.5m
2nd place: 500k
3/4/5th place: free entry to next game
remainder (100-400k depending on who enters) is a sink.

No it has not, it's been close but not this low.

End of summer is causing a down trend atm, it'll rise quite a bit like I said.

I haven't played since 3 months after the game came out, but isn't raids something like dungeoneering minus the skill? That doesn't seem like an update that would affect gold prices.

 

Gold is climbing atm due to Last man standing, It's gone for .9-.95/m to $1-$1.05 and is getting a small boost.

Raids is a WAY larger update and from what I've read it'll provide a smaller gold sink but will be used far far more, ontop of its a team thing which is great for gold prices.

 

There's nothing about an update being team based that would inherently change the price of gold. Actual change in supply/demand for both gold buyers and gold sellers does.

 

Gigantic team updates like this leads to many many people wanting their friends to try it or come play with them, updates like this typically lead to a solid playercount increase for a while which in turn reflects back on the price of gold and typically causes a small-decent spike such as ur seeing with the slight rise in LMS, now imagine a update 5x larger and the impact it'll have.
