If you believe in Global Warming because of Al Gore, then that sucks.
He's actually making bank by speaking out against it when he's actually investing his money into companies who are polluting like hell.

OT: No this isn't a sign, but we should always be ready to expect a natural disaster at any time.

They happen all the time, this was worse than the normal ones. The world will end in due time, but not because of this.

He also predicted many other things, and none of them came true. Out of all the predictions, only a handfull were true? He was bound to get a lucky guess eventually..

The only way I can see a massive amount of humans deaths in my lifetime, is by a global nuclear war. Even that wouldn't destroy all of us. No, I don't think it's near at all.

Wrong. Not That they didnt come true they just couldnt be matched I have The Nostradamus Book.

"In the City of God there will be a great thunder, Two brothers torn apart by Chaos, while the fortress endures, the great leader will succumb",
The third big war will begin when the big city is burning"

Let the interpreting begin! Assuming "the City of God" is New York City, then the "two brothers torn apart by Chaos" must be the fallen towers of the Word Trade Center. The "fortress" is clearly the Pentagon, the "great leader" succumbing to Chaos must be the United States of America, and "the third big war" can only mean World War III. You call that luck?

The region near the "Ring of Fire" gets hit with them all the time.

This one was just bigger than others, no reason to come to any dumb predictions.

Also, you're wrong. I can see where you're coming from with assuming New York City, Twin Towers, and America. But we have not come to a great 3rd World War yet. You said the 3rd big war will begin once the city is burning. If that is the case, we are talking about our war with the Middle East, seeing as it was taken/took place once the towers were burning/fallen. It was by no means that big of war, and last I checked, no other countries of the world participated.

You've been watching far to much Discovery Channel. Get back to reality.

I, can right now, say " A great city will burn in fire, causing great casualties. Conflict will ensue, bringing chaos "

That can be attached to an unbelievable amount of situations. It's not hard to "predict the future" all you have to do is throw something out there, and people are going to attach it too something.

My example could be anything from 9/11, to a town hall being burned down by an arsonist where people die.

No, a simple earthquake is not a sign of the end of humanity. If that was the case, what about every single big earth quake before? What about the 1960 9.5 earthquake in Chile? How come the world didn't end after such a big event. What about the 9.1 in Indonesia in 2004?

These things happen, and they always will. There's no way to stop them, just as there's no way to stop the sun from rising. If natural disasters were to stop, that would be more scary then a sudden increase in them. Natural disasters show nothing but that the world is working as normal, and doing its job.

As far as a nuclear stock pile goes, you think we don't have plans for things like that? You think other countries nuclear activities aren't being monitored as much as possible? They are.

The world is not going to end, at least not in your life time.

Earthquake in Japan, End of the World?

Your one of the week minded people that succumbs to this trick.

A common trick used by many bogus "fortune tellers" Is that they predict the future giving a vague prediction. The psychology behind this is that people will take this prediction to heart, and attach anything they think the prediction connotes to.

Eg. If a fortune teller gave a prediction that:
I see a darkness in your future, a loss of yours.

This is a very vague prediction.
If something in your life happens where you lose something, eg. Sharemarket, family loss, robbery, being dumped etc. All of these you can connote to the prediction, and many weak minded people do.

Now with that being said, you assume so many things in that prediction because it is WIDE OPEN. "The city of God." Yea sure New York, would you of said that before 9/11? No your attaching it to the prediction. All the other assumptions you've made are the same as this.

I'll reiterate. Weak minded people are generally followers. It's easy to follow a prediction, especially a prediction that is not definite and can be associated with a vast variety of things.

I think it's scary for japan and the country's around japan, because of the exploding reactors. And now another reactor got the same problems as the first.
I hope this is not getting a ramp as Chernobyl:S

lol nop, every 50 years or so, the world world enters a cycle where there's alot of earthquakes etc and we are in this cycle now. The world isn't going to end in 2012 and it will be the same world we are living in for the next century or more.

    What are you talking about?

Also, not to support the whole "ZOMG END OF WORLD" paranoia but 5 of the 25 biggest earthquakes in recorded history (which dates back to the 1500s) have occurred in the last 10 years.

You are really stupid. Co2 "Carbon Dioxide". Before the advent of human-caused release of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere, concentrations tended to increase with increasing global temperatures, acting as a positive feedback for changes induced by other processes such as orbital cycles. There is a seasonal cycle in CO2 concentration associated primarily with the Northern Hemisphere growing season.
