E-Mail Alerts?

I think that users should get an e-mail alert whenever a reply has been sent to their thread, a private message has been sent to them, and if a ban/suspension etc. has been issued.

Question: Why should we get an e-mail alert if someone has replied to our thread and why do we care?

Answer: Say you're offline from the forums. Before you left you posted your account for sale. Someone is extremely interested in your account and you aren't on the forums to see it. However, if you are looking at your e-mail you will see that someone has been there and has left you a post.

It already does that...

 

If a Private Message is sent to you, you are already told of this happening, and prompted to click in a way that will lead you to your Private Messaging in another window. As for people replying to your Threads, that is completely useless, because you know where they are placed at.

And why an E-mail? It just takes longer. All you have to do is refresh your page on Sythe.
