Digging the Squeal Of Fortune Redisign

Don't know about you guys, but I find that the new look to the SOF is definitely an improvement. You actually can see the price value of a spun item without having to click through a second screen which is also sweet news for me!

 

Doesn't really matter to me either way (Only there for a minute a day anyway), however I did realize the increased chance at a rare slot. Maybe it was changed before, but I got 2 rares in like 12 spins.

To me it looks more like jagex isn't BSing me when I'm 1 millimeter away from the rare. Instead, I didn't even expect it, I didn't think I got it, next thing I know I got it.

 

you can speed up the spins now too. x100 or something similar

 

I like the new design. It's simplistic and aesthetically appealing. Still not going to buy any spins but the new design is more fluid than the old one

 

I dislike SoF period. like why is it in the game. its just a way for jagex to be raking in more money and to bother players when they try to log in!

The design is better than the old one. However, I think it wasn't a necessary update.

 

It's better than the old one, but it seems to have a few glitches. The old one did too, it used to not let you claim and you'd have to re-open etc etc so I think that might be the cause behind the revamp. I still find the new one awkward to use though. Either way, Jagex should be investing time spent on squeal of shit in to new content.

 

That was also my important point, I really like that new design now, it looks just nice.

 

I don't like how they spent the time updating the SOF rather than using the time to improve something ingame.

 

Not the best logic. Jagex has different teams that work on specific aspects of the game. The team dedicated to SOF/microtransactions deals with updates like these so other teams working on other aspects of the game don't lose any development time...

 

I like SoF and have been playing since 06, I don't see why people are hating on it, it's free xp/cash and rare items. I don't like the new look to it, they keep making it more complicated but hey if it's free xp/gp I'll take it!

 

My thoughts exactly, although with the new update I've heard that the huge skill lamps e.g. Mining are giving medium skill lamp experience to random skills such as Crafting. A small bug to pay in exchange for essentially replacing random events.

 

I actually like the new revamp of it, looks nicer and cleaner.

Hell no, I hate it, the only good part is as you said it showing how much the item costs when converted to coins as soon as its spun.

 

Like the fact that there is less lag but I liked the design of the old SoF better

 

I like it a lot more mainly because it isn't as laggy.

 

Could care less Lol, they redesigned it to get people to buy more spins though.

 

Funnily enough I thought the opposite.

 

Hasn't Jagex re-designed the Squeal of fortune a handful of times, since April when they first released it? Sounds like a waste of money and development time to me.
