Jagex is fucking up GE.

Look at Grand exchange at Runescape website.
Everything looks stable, but if you take a look in world 2, everyone is dumping thier items for low prices for about a week now, becasue of EOC.

 

That's because no one wants to buy for the GE price.

Lot of people don't know how the update will affect prices, eco, so better to have gold instead of items which could potentially drop in price due to new items that are better.

 

Yes but that will mean that nobody is dumping thier item at ge for a lower price or people buying items for a lower price at ge?

I can not imagine that no one is using GE anymore for selling thier items, also a red h' mask is 145m in trade screen for about 2 days but 154,7mil in GE.

 

GE will be in a state of flux up to and immediately after the 20th Nov now.

 

The value of GP itself is quite volatile with EoC coming up so selling items and then cashing out is probably the best option unless it's clear what items will be disproportionately buffed during the update

 

When there is a panic sale you know what to do? Buy up everything you need. Rares are something that is just going to continually get more expensive and with the holiday season coming up soon santas are sure to rise.

 

G.E will always be like this during massive updates like this.

 

Emperor_Nero and Dan<3 have both stated valid opinions if I do say so myself. There's no need to overreact about the GE acting quirky. None of us have any control over what the majority of members will and won't do anyhow. This has been occurring since the GE was released in the first place. Not to mention, when item manipulating worked oh so well. The GE is more reliable than it has been in the past as far as I'm concerned.

 

Do you even know how GE prices work?

How can you blame Jagex if you don't even understand the system behind the prices?

 

You can expect more "fuck up" from Jagex till 20th Nov, we'll just have to see when EoC comes out the price of new items etc.

 

A lot of things I don't think you can name them all they have stuffed up to many things over the years.

 

People are just freaking out because no one knows how EOC will affect prices... it's a normal reaction.

 

Indeed EOC will affect prices alot.

 

I think random items will go up because to be honest who knows what is going to be good and what isn't going to be good, also take into consideration that a lot of people are quitting so will be selling their banks making prices crash.

 

I hope they make it runescape 3 and leave this how it is

 

Either the multi-million dollar company is tampering with virtual stocks,

The player's are trying to cause a panic and crash prices to get deals on rares in order to make bank...

It's not jagex screwing anything up. As people have already said, it's the players speculating on what the market will be like after EoC is introduced.

 

AGS was down to like 11/12m and the night after the EOC stream it shot back up to 16m+ after they mentioned passive abilities. Lol. People are panicking and then realizing how foolish they were.

 

It's not Jagex that fucks up the Grand Exchange, it's the players. People either panic sell, or they've heard how close EoC is and they're dumping all the items which will either be obsolete for their account or not as good as obviously they will lower in price. The Grand Exchange does not represent street price, W2 does. The graphs will update.

 

Everybody is dumping so just sit back relax, and wait!
