Dumb Question?

Now i was looking at the Sythe rules and nothing really addresses this but lets just say that if i sold an account to someone and then they got banned (Permanent Blackhat in this case) does that give me something like a right to recover it? Wouldnt the person who got banned fall out of the "jurisdiction" of Sythe rules or something like that?

NB: 'Counter-scamming' (i.e. attempting to recover your property from a scammer) is not against the rules, but attempting to scam someone who previously scammed you is.

Or since it wasnt a "scam" im not allowed to do this? Honestly i apologize if this is a stupid question and the answer should be obvious to me, Maybe deep down im just looking for a way to skirt around the rules.

 

The easiest thing to do is speak to a mod about it before doing anything. They'll look at the case and help you act accordingly.

To answer your answer completely. Yes, in that case it'd probably be allowed provided the user was banned for scamming.

 

It's allowed because taking back what is yours from someone who scammed isn't the same as deliberately going out of your way to try to deceive someone. It's like this: if Sythe.org as an entity for each scammer told them if they donated $200 they would be allowed and then still banned them, it would be fucked up, so instead they take back their privilege to use the site.

I highly agree with Darkest Dreams statement here. Please create a scam report with evidence you were scammed and state you want to recover your property and we'll help you chase it.

 

Nobody really read what i originally typed out . The user that was banned was not banned for anything relating to the account sale, What am asking is essentially could i recover the account with no repercussions since he is no longer a member of Sythe?

Maybe you could recover it to pay back the scammed victims? Maybe a mod would know, because I've seen people anti-scam.

With the approval of a mod or admin I believe this is allowed in some cases. I don't think it would apply as easily to an account but it usually does in the case of PayPal chargebacks.

 

It isn't. Bus scammed a scammer to refund THAT SCAMMER'S victims. He's asking if he can recover his account for his own personal gain simply because the buyer was banned for other activities.
