How often is it "Safe" to buy gold?

Before I say anything, I want to make it clear that I know It's not ever considered "100% Safe" to buy or sell gold, but I mainly want to focus on how OFTEN you should buy gold to be less obvious that you randomly get traded gold every week/month from different accounts.

When I buy OSRS GP I usually will buy a large amount at once, then I'll wait about a month or sometimes only a few weeks before I purchase again just to "Be safer", but I don't actually know if spacing out the times of purchasing gold makes any difference when trade logs are a thing, and it could be traced back from several months.

Do you think it's safer to space out the times you buy/sell gold, or is it just a complete waste of time to wait?

 

I really doubt there is a right answer for this question, you probably will get the experience from others

But I guess the most time between buy/sells is better for the account safety

 

I don't think selling all at once is a bad idea provided its not a massive amount (ie: >1b or so or even way more than that).
I'd probably avoid buying/selling from massive websites as those accounts are more likely to get banned. It's also extremely rare to get banned for buying gold as opposed to selling. So you're probably fine.

 

I think spacing out trades does help, though I really don't have any proof to back this up. I just trade gold through multiple accounts if I do it often. Never got banned for RWT as of today.

To be fair tho, I don't own a gold site so there's that. I mostly only sell gold I acquired through goldfarming.

 

My biggest tip when buying gold is to use different accounts. I have bought gold once a week for several weeks now, but I always use different accounts. Also, I always make sure to trade the user something, whether it is bronze arrows or cabbage.

Very safe to buy gold, it's sellers who get banned most of the time.

 

Recently I’ve been buying smaller amounts (100m or less) about once ever week or two.

From my understanding, jagex takes more action against the sellers than they do the buyers.

 

It all depends on who you trade, what kind of ip address you trade on, the type of account you trade on/the account the person you are dealing with trades on, who the person you are trading with trades with (if they are a consistent rwter), and obviously the amount you are trading and what else you are doing in game. But that is just some factors that are put into place, there is a lot of different factors.

 

I’ve always staked the gold, feel much safer selling high amounts this way
