    Dual PSU question

Ive bought some new components, and cant afford to buy a decent PSU, however I still have 2x 405W PSUs. So I was wondering, could I jump one of the psu to power my graphic card?

Both have 6pin pci, and I need 2 to power my gpu (and I dont have any free Molexs either:S )

So I'd have one psu connected to the motherboard with the 24 + 4pin, and the 6pin into the gpu, and the other psu 6pin into the gpu.

So I was wondering, is it worth doing? Risky?

    Thanks :)

Shouldn't be a problem at all, the only thing I'd worry about is if one of the PSU's is faulty.

The first time I put a hard drive in a computer, I had to duct tape it to the top of the case.

Well if you have a large enough case then that won't be an issue. I wouldn't put the second one outside of the case in your room due to static issues and air/dust getting in the PSU.

Ive modded a Mac Pro Case to fit ATX and such, and theres plenty of room in that case to fit both ^^

    Thanks for the replies :)
