Mint cakes restore more energy per consumption than any other item. Higher leveled players north of the Grand Exchange in world 2 will often lend valuable items such as the Armadyl Godsword in exchange for a mint cake.

Mint cakes are a merchantable item that increase/decrease in value everyday because idiot ass kids manipulate the prices. I sold two mint cakes yesterday @ 22M, then saw someone selling them for 6M each not even an hour later. It depends on the person and their determination for the price of the item. Trades are conducted doing junk trades, where Player 1 (receiving mint cake) and Player 2 (giving mint cake) will trade item + junk for strictly cash. Player 1 offers 10M GP; Player 2 offers mint cake and 10M worth of junk items. Junk items include, but are not limited to, Adamant arrows (p++), Agility potion (4)s, and Grenwall spikes. These items are typically disposed of through the Falador drop party room after the trade is completed, since they have little-or-no use at all.

A mint cake can be obtained as a rare reward from the Gnome Restaurant minigame by doing hard orders for the gnomic explorers Brambickle, Penwie and Wingstone.

and

During or after The Path of Glouphrie quest, Longramble will exchange a mint cake in return for delivering a Tangled Toad Legs. This can only be done one time.

 

Why do people want em so much?

 

Because they can do junktrade with it. I traded 12mill worth of junk for 1 mintcake!!

 

No thats rubbish, its just like the easter egg but nobody will buy a easter egg becuase it sucks and is expensive. The easter egg is Same as a mint cake its going to suck and its expensive

 

mints are kinda different from easter eggs, dear arrowzflame.
easters are discontinued, rares and therefore very expensive items.
Mints are obtained after as reward from a quest, but mostly from a minigame.
they are expensive because they are considered rare, it s very long to obtain them thought the minigame.
