    Drop system

What do you guys think is the drop system for monsters? Do you think Jagex spawns an abyssal demon saying "This demon is going to drop a whip" or do you think it all depends on who kills the demon as to what the drop is? For example if someone steals my abby demon and get's a whip should I be hurt because it could have been my whip? Just a thought. Discuss.

Well in private servers, I know it's just like a percentage. But if someone kills the abyssal demon, I don't think it would be "Yours" anyway. I just think that once it's killed, database says. That 1% drop ACTIVATED

agreed with christmasCracker, i think every time they spawn. Theres a certain percent of them what spawn with whips.

It's a random drop with jagex's "Gambling" system, lets say that the whip has a 1/150 drop rate on their system.

    1. You kill Monster
    2. The system starts and reads that this monster was killed and a random number is picked.
    3. If the number is 150 *Example* the the whip is dropped.

Think of it as playing a game, every time you kill a monster a wheel is spun and each item takes up a certain amount of space on that wheel. So while a rune chain body might take up 10% of the wheel the whip only takes up say .5% so each time you kill a demon you have a chance of landing on the whip so to speak.

It is quite possible to get three whips in a row, but very highly unlikely. It's honestly based on luck. Go to "pick a random number" on google. Go from 1 to 250. Guess a number, then tell me out of a hundred times did you guess the right number once? If so, you got yourself a whip, if not, GL try again lol.
