drones: good or bad?

President Obama has recently signed a new bill to put drones in the United states airways. How do you feel about drones flying around in the air wave, unseen by the human eyes? Do you feel its a invasion of privacy or could drones be helpful? I feel it will open another door for government to spy on us but it could serve practical purposes.

 

With great power always comes great responsibilities.


Abuses of privacy could occur
Saving American lives by preventing a problem through this detection system could also occur.


Double edged sword.

 

It will be great for all kinds of surveillance needed eg. we could be more effective in border protection, find criminals on the run faster, and look for missing children/hikers/etc.

Drones killed more civilians in Iraq than anything else, SO i'd day NO to drones

 

I'd say bad... What's next, camera's in our homes?

Why are drones an invasion of privacy? As far as I was aware drones were just planes that ran on autopilot, like the vast majority of all planes.

 

They will do it if they want to anyway.

pretty much as most say... it can be invasion of privacy but can have practical uses...theoretically preventing terrorist attacks...thats a plus

Um? If you've been to most major cities, thats already the case. So yeah, there wasnt really an uproar.

 

Drones is a horrible idea their invading your privacy why not hook up a mic to your chest to hear all your conversations. It is a stupid idea..

Unless they're shooting at us, I don't see why not.
How can our privacy be invaded when most our private activities occur indoors? I mean, I certainly wouldn't be masturbating or having sex in public.

Apart from a rise in taxes and possible mechanical failures and accidents, I don't see why not.
