ideas on shisha?

and websites with cheap pipes/tobacco much appreciated. getting my $$ in a few days, remember having shisha pipe at a party and oh my god do i want to own a pipe of my own for personal use and when the mates are round.

any other people done shisha here on sythe? if so, explain your pimping experiences with the glorious pipe of goodness

 

Ehh it's okay I suppose - you grow tired of it after a few months.
Both me and a friend each have pipes - we've smoked a tonne of flavors, the best being double apple, lemon, and cherry. It's not the best to have at a party, heck I'd prefer weed over Shisha any day, but relaxing with a few brews and 5 or so friends around the table on a Summer night can be pretty darn cool with Shisha.
Just bear in mind that extensive use over a couple of hours can make you feel super sick - essentially the only rush you get is from starving your brain from oxygen (Shisha tobacco has no nicotine or active ingredient to cause a high), and you just get light-headed... it achieves a similar, but less uncomfortable, result as holding your breath.

 

A pointer - as soon as your pipe begins to rust in the water STOP using it. Using it rusted is not only really bad for you, but it really ruins the experience - the smoke is much harsher and seriously burns your chest and throat.

 

thanks for all the input, i plan on hitting up with some yummy flavoured tobacco, and i know about too much shisha is bad, i endured this when weed was in the mix and too much monoxide + weed = bad combination [to the point i had to stare at the stars for a few minutes to get rid of the vomit feeling]

but i've learnt not to over do the shisha now haha. oh and, i don't wana do weed anymore, trying to steer very clear of it. but still. know any good places to get a pipe? ive found a site that i can get a pipe for 40NZD, but still thats getting pretty high up there since the tobacco is $15 on top of that :/

I can do a little research for you man - you in Auckland? My friend buys all my tobacco for me relatively cheap, and he bought me my pipe, so I'll find out where he sourced his from. You looking for a double or single?

Being Lebanese, I know a thing or two about them. Two apples is by far the most popular flavor, it's has a unique flavor and it's strong. The other popular ones are Mint and Grapes, both of which I dislike greatly, although I can do with a little mint in my two apples. The other flavors are just party flavors, ie Rockmelon, Strawberry, Lemon and Mint, Rose, etc. Don't fall pray to getting those long shishas, they aren't as good as the smaller ones, and make sure you get a good hose, they're probably the most important part of the shisha itself.

 

Double Apple (as we call it over here) is by far the best - definitely
Have you tried cherry at all? It's my second favorite... not amazing though.

 

I tried it once, and it's just not my thing. I'd rather just stick to weed

 

I own 2 shishas myself.
I have a large 2 piped one and a small 1 piped one.
I recommend that you start off with a big shisha, because it feels so much nicer to smoke and it look way better. ALl my freinds that bought shishas including me started off by buying small ones and then within weeks we had bought bigger ones. so why waist money buying a bigger one first.

Now about the flavours and tobacco brand,
one thing is never ever but "soex" tabaco it is the most disgusting tobacco iv ever tasted and has no aromatic flavour. Go for one of the brands that comes straight from the middle east and is fresh!
-Mixed apple is a great flavor, the smoke is nice and thick and it has a licorish taste.
-Mint is a really nice smoke and taste nice and fresh.
-Grape is a nice sweet taste
-Cherry doesn't have a distinct taste but its a great smoke.

Get a few flavours or you will get kinda bored!
