[Drink] Coca-Cola - Coca-Cola Life

Review. If you've ever had stevia soda, you'd know it's utterly disgusting if it's used as the only sweetener. ( http://www.zevia.com/ ) I spent a sum of money trying most of Zevia's flavors and I'll tell you right now. 1/5 for all of them. Stevia is much more bitter than it is sweet.

Price Paid: $3-4 for a six pack? I was given a bottle for free.



Luckily, this soda has real sugar AND stevia.

Before I looked at the ingredients, I tried it out and I said wow that's really good. I only got the bad aftertaste of stevia on the first sip, then you get used to it. This soda then tastes like Coca-Cola with a slightly better taste and smoother flow.

There isn't much to be said, other than looking at the back, stevia is the last ingredient, behind caffeine. It has 19 mg of caffeine in the 8 fl. oz. bottle I drank. So less than 19 mg of stevia, compared to 16g of sugar. No wonder the aftertaste went away so quickly.

This is basically a pure sugar Coca-Cola. Save your money and don't buy it. 60 calories vs. 100 calories btw. Also, 8 oz. of Coke should be 26g of sugar, vs. the 16 in this product. 10g less is a lot, which is a good selling point. I'm not sure why they need less sugar, maybe it's the real sugar? I'm not sure.

Coca-Cola is a 4/5, this gets a high 4/5 for being a bit better.

Pepsi is sweeter and therefore more appealing to people, but I prefer Coke because it has less sugar. Plus, nothing wrong with a bit of bitterness.

We have some stevia tabs at home and they are disgusting. I don't want to know how it tasted with the cola l0l.

 

The amount of stevia in these makes it negligible. Think of it as pure can sugar Coke. That said, avoid anything that uses stevia nonetheless.
