    dress codes

every school has their own little dress codes. and some of the rules on them are just rediculous. for example you cant wear pajama pants at my school. i didnt like this whole prospect because i find them quite comfy. so i decided to get me and as many other people as i could at my school to wear them in a sort of non violent protest.

well i was sent to in school suspension for a dress code violation. i set up a meeting with the new principal to discuss this issue.

basically everything she said summed up was that:
    1) they are a distraction to the other students
    2) theyre against the normal dress code rules
    3) they shouldnt be worn in public

i didnt like these responses and there was a large arguement that ensued for a good half hour before i was kicked out of her office.
    but my counter arguements were:
    1) even if they were a distraction to the other students, theyd only be a distraction for the split second when they first saw them. and if people were to start wearing them more frequently wouldnt it be less of a distraction due to the regularity of them being seen?
    2) people wear pj pants all of the time in public and just around the house. and they also do not violate any of the standard dress codes. they are not baggy, they have no provocative language, no drug or alcohol promotion, they arent tight, their past finger-tip length, they are hemmed, etc.
    3) you dont have any opinion in the matter of whether they should be worn in public or not because you cant control any one person besides yourself. if i wanna wear pj pants in public ill do it, and nobody will stop me.

so she kicked me out because she a 40+ year old principal couldnt out argue me a 15 year old kid.

Eh, fucking school. Some kid in my school does the pledge in a fake biritsh accent over the TV that everyone's supposed to watch for the morning announcements, and nobody seems to give a fuck.

I go to a private school where the wealthier kids go so they have access to drugs, they have dogs check the lockers once a week and they check water bottles to make sure its not vodka. Last year some kid in my p.e class chugged vikadin (painkillers) daily. Ive also seen kids that are high on a daily basis. Some kid last year also died in a car crash from to much cocaine.

We've got a full uniform, tie, collared shirt, pants, belt, etc. It's a private school, though so I guess that's the price we pay to have good facilities and stuff. :/

E School, do you go to a public or private school? Because if it's private they can do whatever they want, and you really can't complain.
