Drawing a hand

I need help drawing a hand. If anyone is able to to digital paint, and knows how to draw hands, I'm desparate. I can't get it right. Shoot me a PM and I'll upload you the PSD

 

What is the hand for? I suck at hands but I might be able to give you a 'hand' in drawing one.

 

I need a hand that would be grasping a sword along the axis I drew in.

 

Have you tried distorting a reference image and tracing it? That may be able to do it. I mean a lot of people say tracing is bad, but if you're just learning how to develop certain forms (things like the hands) then it helps you learn the correct places for things.
