Monkey Maddness Boss on a pure?

I was wondering what is best method to take down the boss on a pure.
Would mage or range be easier? (50 mage, 52 range)
Or should I do the whole bridge thing and wait for his health be low enough to strike the final blow?

 

Can't you use a cannon?

I would personally use range and use some the best enchanted bolts you can.

If you don't have 43 prayer (which I assume) I would let the gnomes do most of the damage.

 

Used cannon on a 1 prayer 1 def pure. Worked, need some skills tho.

 

yeah. i completed with 1 def and 13 prayer. used cannon and just msb @ 55 range. i was around 41 hp then.

 

i did it about a week ago with 50 range, msg rune arrows and range pot, it can be done easy peasy lemon sqeezy

 

If for whatever reason you don't want much Ranged exp from the fight, then yeah the run away/get last strike method still works. Eventually the gnomes will have the demon's health down to a redbar.
