What to do with this account?

Ok, I want this account to be a staker. It has 20 Atk 70 Str, 85 HP, and 61 Range. I've done around 10-12 stakes so far and win only about 60% of them so i'm still making a little profit but not as much as others say I would, so the question what should I do with this account to win more stakes? I got an interesting idea but i'm scared to try it out. The idea would be something like 78 Attack 85-90 Strength and 20 defence with 90+ hp, I would be using a fury, climbing boots, mith defender, obby cape, VLS for spec and C.SWH for regular hits, and C.Statius armor. Though I could also go range tank, ddser, or just stay a range boxer but up my range. What do you guys and gals think?

 

get 99 range+hp via soul wars and own in duel arena!

 

Ok, long term goal. But what about a short term? lol

 

keep your attack and get higher defence with the range.

 

Around what defence should I get?

 

I used to have a really nice 25 def hybrid before I liquidated a bunch of my pures.

78 atk
90 str
20 Def (mine was 25 def to use infinity robes, but now that d'hai is out thats a better choice)
99 Mage (easy and costless with the addition of gatestone bots)
52 prayer
70 Range

Would be a awesome little pure to have. I think you're also forgetting 78 attack allows you to use Korasi. I personally love it for brid because it makes finishing off pures or even rune pures quick and painless (I hate seeing failed dds specs). VLS is also nice, but people at that lvl are going to pop on a pheonix and your going to fail the k0 80% of the time. Whereas Korasi is extremely accurate and dependable + it doesn't degrade.

 

This is an awesome outline for an initiate pure, but i'm looking for a staker build.

Well i'm currently getting my range up. I'm thinking off of stopping at 71 range and see if that helps my accuracy and hits in staking if not i'll be going all the way up to 78. I might find then that I either need more hp or figure out a better way for combos. Though someone I talked to in game was talking me into getting defence, I just don't think that's a good idea.
