Peace in the Middle East: Is there a solution?

This region has been plagued by War and turmoil as far back as history can record. Is there an explanation for why this specific area in the World has been the epicenter for Violence and terror for the past century?
Will there ever be peace in the Middle East, or is this land forsaken and destined to exist in everlasting tumult?

The search for peace in the Middle East dates back to the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948, a war following the invasion of the Jewish state by Arab countries, and the subsequent displacement of many Palestinian Arabs.

As far as i know the war will not stop

If they could just find a land and move then all will be fine,,
but they dont think that far..
so the loss of life will continue and bloodshed will stay in the Middle East..
So long as they are close to each other i think..

I dont see a solution, im not very into all thats going on but neither side will back down until its too late, something big would have to happen for a solution but the solution would be hard to come by with both sides thinking they are in the right...

 

Personally, I don't think that peace is a viable option any time soon. The Middle East has been in turmoil for thousands of years, why would a solution enacted today make a difference?

 

I don't ever remember a time in history books where there was peace, and whther or not people will admit it history repeats itself so it will continue and never be peaceful...

 

Yes the wars will end, and there will be a time of peace set by one known as the "antichrist" who is understood by many to come before the generation of 1948 passes. The non Christians will view that person as one who should be worshipped. And when they do and receive a "mark" that will be required to buy or sell, they will have forfeited their soul by doing so. As it will be a branding of ownership from the antchrist instead of God. And this will be a bit before the end of the world as we know it. So I wouldn't really look forward to that time of peace...

 

Well if you read the bible and really loved god you would know that the bible doesn't say god will destroy the world. It also say those who accepts him will have not to fear. So if there really someone you will be in the situation as the people who worship the antichrist for your fear of the world's end.

 

So says the book of Revelations, but why do you take it literally? Also, why do you take it to mean this time, as opposed to some time in the future?

 

Because they are foolish, and the bible uses signs which confuse people who anaylze things wrong and fear everything that looks like it could be from god.

 

I think the best solution is to slowly get the our (US) troops and try to get Iraq as stable as possible.

After that, we just need to leave the Middle East alone, let them work out their own conflicts. This sounds rough, but if we get involved(US and maybe Europe) we just have more people hating us.

It's best to let them settle it, all things will end, eventually...

 

I was referring specifically to the Israel/Palestine situation.
Iraq is a completely different issue, and I didn't want this thread to become another "Discuss the War in Iraq".

Wars based on religion just dont end.

There has been war over there for thousands of years.
The real question is when people start to realize it wont help.

What about the English crusades, or the French post-reformation wars between the Catholics and the Huguenots?

Those wars are over and forgotten, and so why can there be no end to this war?

 

Wars may end in a certian area, but there shall always be conflict over differences in religion, I think that is what he may have meant, just wasn't a thought out statement.

 

There is a solution for every question, We are going in the wrong way, we should be looking for a Question.

Or more acurately a series of questions in which the answers will give us the knowledge to solve this conflict.

In the old days it was as peacefull as all other countries, it was only after the creation of the jewish state that the wars began for real.

Why couldnt those jews just stay in germany or be moved to america, those same people who saved them. Why should peoples houses be stolen and their lands taken away from them thousands of kilometers away, when the thing actully supposedly took place in germany.

Some people being against the opinions of the american government does not make them terrorists, america could be the terrorist, so the way I see it, the middle east is not home for terrorism.

The only difrence between Bin Laden and Bush is that Bin Laden admits that he is killing and Bush does not, even though it it very very clear by now that he is doing the same.

Make Iraq stabil, stop the oil hustling, dont suport Israel, leave their system alone and stop trying to spread out the so called "democratism".
