For anyone that might not know, DLC are lisenced to two things. The console and the account, you won't be able to use the DLC online and I'm not sure about offline

 

Mizoreofsnow, you're wrong I let my friend lt my escalation map pack to his console and it worked all you had to do was redownload it on yours

 

He's not wrong. If he purchased it on his console and then you recovered it back yes it would work. If its already purchased and all you do is download them on your xbox, once his account is off your xbox you will no longer have access to them.

 

What i'm saying is, I give you the email and password temporarily and then you re-download desired map packs and then I recover, it's simple and it works fine.

HD or not they will NOT load unless the license is attached to the xbox

 

I sold my account with 2 map packs, the dude recovered the tag when i sold to him and I play on my new account and yet I still have access to the maps so I don't know about that mortal.

 

OMG to Clear this up, all that is going on is.
The buyer recovers the account, Lisens Transfers the content he wants and Downloades it and now the DLC is on his xbox.
The Origingal owner then recover his account back and now he can only get the DLC when hes signed into the account with the DLC purchased on.
And the buyer can getall DLC on any account he wants
