I would like to start a discussion and get the opinion of every single person interested.


Runescape's Next Big UPDATE

We all know JaGex likes to do stuff without thinking about how it will effect us.

Recently Troll Invasion was been released and I beleive it is better than I first anticipated. But what's next?

What could really need doing up or changed?



Example

Pking
- Korasi - When it first came out it was hard to get because nobody new what to do. Now anyone can get it (i.e. people getting it on a 10 def pure). The worst thing about this is that they should have made it so it was 5m to rebuy not 250k and it hits so high for something so easy to get

Ring of Wealth
- This was pretty much to revitalise slayer. People were complaining about the lack of drops etc. But now kids just camp abby demons because whips are so common. Therefore whips are 900k.

- This is also the reason furies dropped. Kids camp at obby monsters and then buy tokkul or wait for a drop.

Something Good
Graphic updates - Lumb swap - Who goes there? But I beleive that it rivals WoW graphics (and Runescape is in a Browser!!!)

Draynor update is amazing.

I reckon they should do Varrock and all the other major cities.


Also what I mean by getting a new good weapon that is hard to get is something like a steel titan. But I bet your think "Hey, they Steel Titan isn't a weapon." Well think again:


A good weapon should be created that would be as tedious, costly and actually hard to get and requires high skills to use.


So I ask you! What need improving? and what should be added?

Are these confirmed updates, or just a wishlist?

If its a wishlist, I would like to see better graphics. I think RS is due for a graphics update by now. Especially in major cities such as Varrock, Al Kharid, and Ardounge.

 

wrong. if you went to tzhaar even ONCE you would know why they have plummeted.

the next BIG update will either be a pointless skill or something that makes the game easier.

I'm betting the next update will be a new quest with some dumb reward that helps lower leveled players like the new fishing deposit boxes.

I hope they release a new boss that drops a new weapon - not new armour.

 

I could see a quest update coming, I think its about time rs gets a new skill though!

 

It will be a long time before there is a new skill. A new quest will surely come out soon though. They always do... but you also have to look at the smaller updates which some people profit hugely off of. For instance, the upcoming update that will require sapphires will make anyone who has invested millions in uncut sapphires a TON of money. Anyone who can predict these updates makes a killing.

 

A new skill would take a while to implement. They would have to balance it out so that it interacts correctly with all other skills/aspects of runescape. Plus, i dont see what kind of new skill could be added.

 

Soon they'll include some more bs like a fishing deposit box at Karamja.

 

Apparently the next big update is a master quest and people are speculating that open's up the ability to get dragon cbow.

Also auras are suppose to be coming out in the form of a new armour slot (not sure how i feel about this one)

 

Stiles is already there so they won't make something like that.

 

I doubt there will be a new skill anytime soon, since they probably spent a good 3 years or so on Dungeoneering, and they love it..

 

what needs improving?graphics

 

They already did... Everyone who played before the HD update knows.

 

We need a new skill, enough said
Not sure what exactly, but something innovative that can be really useful outside of the skill. New quests to accompany.

 

if they improve graphics im quitting, i hate all this futuristic shit, the old graphics were the shit.
the next big updates will be defo quests,etc..

 

I don't understand why everyone hates the new graphics, personally i love playing full screen HD on my 28" screen, its a blast.


but i really hope its something to do with getting rid of most of the gold farmers in runescape, I.E Blue drags, Tzaar, and just about any other resource thats being botted to shit.

 

Brah, just play on safe mode minimum graphics and everything else to off.. = old graphics..

 

They just did a new quest ^.^

 

Mabye they are gonna make summoning go to 120.
