This is pretty genius in my opinion.
What they do is pretty simple. It involves a really trusted user on Sythe PMing an user that they will buy for example, 100M RSGP.
Then the trusted member's partner adds the victims MSN with something similar to the trusted member's MSN which he has in signature.
Then they chat for a while and then the partner says that I will PM you that I buy 100M RSGP from you and you go first and then the trusted member does it.
Now the partner and the victim meets in RS and the victim gives him the money and then he logs off and the trusted member tells that he has no idea what he is talking about, he had to go to class just a minute ago.
Even mods and OMM's do this.

Sorry if I didn't explain it clearly

P.S. http://sythe.org/member.php?u=247793 AKA Viou did this to me today. Lost 323M.
Yes I know it was my own stupidity to fall for this but I blindly trusted him because he had +240 vouches. I should have double checked his MSN.
And this wasn't just coincidence. His partner messaged me on MSN "okay I'll PM you now" and then I receive the PM in less than 30 seconds.

    Proof of PM:

He made viou pm you, you were tricked. There was a thread about this scam explained somewhere, but can't find it anymore.

A PM should always contain e-mail with who you're trading with, the amount you're doing etc.
It's best to pm for example viou, tell him on msn to pm back for confirmation saying he is talking to YOU not to someone else.

No, I didn't. Ragequitted from MSN right after he told me "You got scammed again". And you can't get banned by using this method, not enough proof and the usual bullshit. They have probably bribed the mods tbh.

Yeah but it's just sad to see so trusted members get away by scamming people indirectly like this. I'm positive that he did the same thing with others, his partners mule showed me a green partyhat and 600M.

It is not viou who scammed you, I am 99% sure of that.
You seem to not understand how the scam works, it's hard to explain.

    Use common sense mate.

    1. His msn obviously didnt match his official one on here, so thats a red flag to begin with; making the entire thing your fault.

    2. Use an OMM for such a trade -.-, even if it is a 10% fee. As you now well know, would've saved you about 290$'.

    3. Money doesnt mean trust. Just because he has a green partyhat, and 600m, doesnt mean anything. For all you know, he got all that from doing THIS to people. Considering he just grabbed 300+m from you.

Dont say he scammed you, as you have no proof of him scamming you.

Adding onto this, post count/vouches don't mean much as ANYONE can change their mind and scam, so always use an Trusted OMM.

At the time Viou was the only person who knew I was selling gold and my the only person who knew my MSN on this site (added my signature shortly after the scam).
How could a random guy with a similar MSN address to Viou's would know to impersonate him at the right time and randomly Viou would send me a PM when the impersonator told me he will, if he indeed wasn't Viou's partner doing this scam?

He showed me the items AFTER he scammed me and said GF.
And by your logic, if someone gets murdered and the murderer is obvious it's the guy getting murdered's fault?

The only way of getting scammed is to be fooled, however there are alot of ways to be murdered. And by any means, no one with logic would compare virtual scamming with murder =/

They're both breaking the rules though :p

I'm curious to see what the outcome will be if a Mod checks this out. Can go several ways.
