    Advertising question
    I was wondering if people were allowed to advertise in their/other people's signatures, and if so what the rules were like for that type of advertisement.
    Is anyone able to give me some info on the subject?

    You're allowed to advertise a website/service in your, or other people's signature just as long as the content of the website/service doesn't violate the rules.

    Advertising question
    To add to Ghast's post, you'll want to make your advertisement small enough so that it fits in the 650 (wide) x 350 (tall) pixel limit that Sythe has in place for there signature. Many banners are around 100 pixels tall, and 650 pixels wide, so that they leave enough room for some additional stuff for the user to put. I'd recommend that :p
