20 hours flight time to get the license?

I would definitely get one of those if the price tag weren't so high

I wonder if they are going to try integrating this technology with the technology that has been developed for cars to drive themselves. Those are supposed to be world-wide by 2030.

A car that drives itself AND flies would kerpwn.

That's extreme overkill in my opinion, I mean I understand the convenience I guess, but overall.. Overkill.

 

It says it has a 500 mile tank range but I wonder how big the tank is, and whether it runs on gasoline, petrol, jet fuel, or what?

Sure it could go 500 miles, but I wonder how much you are spending to go that far LOL.

 

I've heard about this before. It's really cool in thought, but I think I'll wait another 50 years until most of the kinks are worked out. I don't like the look tbh.

 

I can see a lot of crashes on air with these things. People are going to attempt to fly to places around the world which I think is cool, would cost less to get to places, if that's the case, I'm definitely going to purchase one once I am at age and when it is released.

I want to just drive down a highway with this in the middle of heavy traffic, then unfold the wings and just take off flying. That's a pretty awesome car/plane.

 

Not likely to be a popular means of transportation. I saw a model like that 2-3 years ago.

 

I think it wouldn't be popular as of yet and for a few years when it has been introduced solely because of the price.

Other than that, the qualifications to drive/fly it are fairly simple. 20 hours of flight time practicing flying a plane is nothing.

The only other deterant I could see keeping this out of the hands of other people, other than the introductory cost of the craft, would be how much it costs to run it as opposed to other vehicles (would need to see a cost comparison).

 

Rush hour traffic? No problem.

Man the world is evolving day by day, this is crazy. It's crazy how technology has developed over the last decade or so.

 

That's awesome im glad that a light pilot license is needed to fly one lol. Soon the sky will be filled with these things o_0.

 

I have never seen so many blindspots on a "car" before. They have a lot of work to do it they plan on making this the new Ford Model-T.

Also, I think it's too low-profile, needs to be higher off the ground in "car-mode"

 

I doubt you'll be flying to Australia in that, top speed of 115mph...
Australia is 10000 miles away, 10000/ 115 =95 hours of flight time, at its top speed.
But, it is quite cool, I just don't see it actually being revolutionary with the price of fuel nowadays, If I was rich enough to spend £150k on transport though, i'd definitely buy one.

 

It cant fly that high, but god, would it be fun having my dad pick me up in that at school
