Hmm you can't delete them off the iPod itself. You need to connect it to the computer, open iTunes and delete them that way.
Could you please post a screenshot? They should be delete-able from iTunes.

Is there a way to just format the ipod? Cause i can just delete all the songs then just add back on my playlist.

I suggest you format your iPod, then add your songs to the iPod again. Here's a page to help you if you don't know how to reformat your iPod:

Let me know if you've got any more problems.

Delete them from the top music section, not the one under your devices. Methinks that is just a display of what music is on your iPod. Delete the files from your iTunes then sync your iPod. Otherwise, try going to your iPod manually when you connect it (like a USB/flash drive but hidden files need to be on). Then you just go to the iPod folder and delete the songs, but this'd take forever.

    Oh-Crap.

Open iTunes. Click "File". Then select "Add File to Library". Then navigate around until you find your music files and then click "Open".
    It should be done.
