Post reply update method?

Create a method to update the person when someone quotes their post so the person doesn't have to search through pages of posts to reply or so they know that someone quoted their post so they can reply and give them a direct link to the page. It would also notify you if someone posted on one of your threads. Sort of like the facebook notification system. This would really help in the SFA section, where debates are going on all the time and it would be a lot easier than going through a bunch of pages looking to see if someone quoted you.
