Help!

So an account of mine was either recovered by an old owner, or hacked, either way i cant log on now. Im paying for the current subscription with my debit card. can i get this back easier, or if i cant, is there an easy way to cancel the subscription? I know this is probably a dumb question, but runescapes website was too cryptic. also, this is probably in the wrong section idk

 

Contact your credit card company and tell them another person subscribed/used your card without your prior permission and they will cancel it.

 

You can TRY and recover it since you have a debit card on it, but if that doesn't work you can contact your bank, and when they cancel it, the account will probably go into negative credit.

 

Cancel the direct debit?

You should be able to recover by having a card registered with account at the moment.

 

I don't have high hopes for your chances of recovering since you said the account was bought.. or it wasn't yours originally ):

 

Check the e-mails jagex sends you. There should be a link to cancel.

 

just say you didn't authorize the payment. it's 6 bucks so the bank won't really make a big deal about it. The account will go into negative credit and be locked

 

If you created the account, email [email protected] (I think that's right). They'll help you recover it.

 

Cancel subscription if you can and try to recover. If it was your account to begin with you should have no problem recovering, especially if you're still paying for membership.

 

If it's stolen/bought account, there's a good chance you won't get it back. If you stop the payment, however, it will go into negative membership.
