Good read, and yes people should be more appreciative towards the mods that spend their time for free to moderate our forums. But people take this for granted.

It's not easy, and I feel Sythe and his administration do a fairly good job at picking the staff. Except -Ryan. He's a devils fan nub

Sitting at a computer 24/7?

The exaggeration is real. You're acting like there is 3 people in a rotation of handling reports. There are 11 staff members that handle reports. Combine that with report threads already layed out, and you have the easiest job in the world. (Not being serious)

Everyone knows forum moderators don't get paid.

If users are grieving staff, it's usually about performance.

 

Sigh, It was a thank you to the staff, not a "performance". Believe it or not but doing nice little things can help peoples day be extremely better. You should try it.

Back OT: Ghast, while the number of staff vs the number of reports that come in seem manageable, you have to remember that not all of them have even a couple hours everyday that they can set aside to grind out reports and such. This is a hobby, and it's supposed to be a fun one, which keeps them wanting to do it.

You need to start reading before you reply.

The contents of the thread suggest you were trying to refute any negativity aimed towards staff.

"I've seen people complain how lazy they are. We'll guess what your wrong."

You go on to make assumptions after that, which ruin the legitimacy, and point of this thread.

Most of the negativity aimed towards staff is about their performance. The forum you're posting in is proof.

The ethical values of this site are miles ahead of anything similar. That starts at Sythe himself, moves through the staff, and flows out into the community. Without such a solid and morally grounded staff, this site would descend towards every other gaming black market forum.

 

If you truly do mean what you say, don't be afraid to say it lol. Negativity is expected here , especially in this community.. you just gotta learn to ignore them and deal with it. I advise you to edit your OP back to what it originally was, it's much better than what it is now

They're not great, but one should compare them to other staff in the genre. Sure, there are problems, but none of the bad ones. No corruption, no money schemes (anymore...coughfinn) and they're online quite a bit overall.
Common complains are usually unfounded. "Omg no staff online for a half hour at afternoon time in my weird ass country." K. Staff that are always online and have nothing to do all day are typically worse staff. You'll find ones with careers that log on when they can will usually make an effort to better the community and have far more mature decisions.

Don't compare iron to diamonds, when the iron is amongst a sea of coal.

 

The simple fact that there is no corruption among mods is a feat. There is a lot of money that moves around on this forum.

 

Richard certainly runs a tight ship.
