Does Jagex know what computer your on?

I know they can tell what your IP and web browser you are using, but can they tell if you macro on one computer and then switch to a different IP and service provider at another location with the same computer and appeal for that macro offense?

 

they install files on your computer which list the accounts that have logged on on that computer. You can delete these files but i've forgotten how. It automatically links them. Even if you're macroing at a friends house they know what's up

Open C:// and delete .jagex_cache_32 (.jagex_cache_64 if you're on a 64 bit computer).

ja, he means c:/ .jagex_ache_32 and about is it illegal well im sure they have it in there terms idk i don't read them but on their website not sure if its still up or where i found it in manual or something like a year ago i found "we do not install files on your computer nor make you download anything" then i found cache...

and the folder has the game cache with java if you get rid of it and play runescape it will just come back with files they do that somewhat so its faster haveing the cache saves them 1000s on bandwidth ect. all it is is game data nothing that will keylog you (i hope)

yes it will, but at least the account lists will be cleared. I don't clear mine just for the amusement, as they not only save them on the individuals server but also on their own.

That cache is for nothing other than graphics, animations and sounds so that your constantly not rendering the game using up more bandwidth than neccisary.... Has nothing to do with jagex remote accessing your PC to see what files your running. That would be illegal.

The IP's would be stored in their database. They wouldn't be stupid enough to give the power of that too the user.

 

This is true. The cache stores the emotes and item sprites etc... so you don't have long loading times while running Runescape.

They can get your MAC Address.

 

i always thought the way they know you're macroing is by just seeing you do something repetitive in game correct me if im wrong?

 

Lol. It's right there in My Documents for me.
I doubt jagex wants to "hide" it from you
