Does Defense Matter In F2P No-Arm Pking?

I'm thinking of turning one of my pures into a F2P no arm fighting pure.

Both of us will be fighting in 'Monk Robes'.

My question: Does it make a difference if I have 1 def and he has 40 def? Even while no-arming?

Yes, most people that pk in monk robes in f2p are zerkers/rune pures in Members

stats:
40 attack
80+ strength
40 defence
31 prayer

I have those stats and I win almost all battles(in monk robes with rune scim/rune 2h combo)

sometimes I'll add in a rune full helm to but I usually fight 1 defence pures so they make me take it off(the 40 defence still gets them though) and don't be a failure, do dragon slayer

 

if using monk robes, just get higher str instead of the defence

 

Not such a significant difference. 40 atk 99 str 1 defence, would probably rape a few kids.

I have PKed on my failed main with 64 attack, 82 strength, and 50 defense. In my experience, the opponent with 40 attack 90+ strength and 40 defense actually does hit often. So yeah, defense doesn't make too much of a difference.

Yes it would...they have too little defense bonuses for their defense to significantly impact the fight.

Don't stick to 40 attack, it misses a lot. Also, if you only plan on no arming, then you could forget def and get higher attack instead. Strength is also overrated, 85-90 will do fine, no need for 99.

 

40 attack still misses a lot on 40+ defence without armor. I would recommend getting atleast 60+ attack.

as I said before it works great(i have one myself) Level 72 hits 300+ with ultimate str and str pot

31 prayer 40 attack 80+ str, I would recommend 40 defence though but 1 defence still works I guess

 

And whats the best training spot for members (non-quest)?

Rock crabs? Flesh Crawlers? Anything else?
