I am looking to ether get into the Airforce or the Army I am qualified for both but really struggling to decide which to go into. I was hoping people whom maybe know someone or are in it themselves would be willing to give me pro's and con's to both of them. Right now I am leaning toward Airforce though.

I would recommend Air Force. Although I myself have no experience in either fields I would think u will have a better future and will learn a lot in the Air Force

Dad's lieutenant colonel in Army and just put in for promotion. He tells me every day not to take the route he did and that he wishes I flew planes. He begged me to go to the air force academy, do my 4 years or however long I wanted (but 4 years is the minimum after you get out of the academy), and then moving onto commercial flying. Commercial flying is fucking great money and you're only gone like a week every month if you want, you can obviously fly more but doing that you'll be set. On top of that, commercial flying is a great job because you don't bring home any baggage. Being a lawyer, for example, even when you step out of the office - you have shit on your mind.

Either way, good luck my friend and thank you for serving your country.

Air force is better all around. Standard of living, combat, how it appears on your resume, etc. Ofc, you don't actually have to fly anything, there are a lot of roles in every branch of the military.

I would say air force. I'm currently in the army and it's not that I regret joining. It's just they're plenty of other better paths I could have taken.

Should I kill people with guns or by bombing them with planes? How about neither.

Chances are no matter which you decided to enlist in you'd be doing neither of those now days. Most people actually end up sitting behind a desk to plainly put it doing seemingly unimportant tasks and furthering their training while doing these tasks. Unless you choose an MOS that requires it.

Either way to answer the question OP, it's honestly up to you. Which do you think you will benefit from the most and which do you think would help you afterwards in the civilian world to land a decent job.

Joining the army is supporting mass murder and it doesn't really matter if you are pulling the trigger or not. I say no to mass murder and I hope so does this guy.

I have to disagree, signing an oath of enlistment is supporting your country and those appointed over you's decisions. Mass murder is pushing it, nonetheless it really doesn't help the OP in making a choice :p.

If you want to support your country then join the police not the army. US soldiers have killed millions of people post WW2 and it shouldn't be hard to understand that mass murder fits it perfectly. Joining the army is support the killings of millions of people in the past and possibly millions in the future and by pointing this out the OP might actualy understand that both of them are bad choices. Also it's bad for the economy as the army is taxpayer funded. All that money could be used for something other than killing. Another fun fact: 22 veterans commit suicide daily.

PS! I'd ask your parents how are they okay with you possibly killing people or getting killed yourself. If I will ever hear someone thanking a veteran for his service then I promise I will go and tell that person what a sane individual thinks of his service.
