Diced c0ngs won and he paid me the 33M... i jump on live chat to bogla to sell the gold to buy Pizza

Go on Runescape to agreed location... look in the inventory and the 33m is gone


I have no idea wtf has happened and I'm pretty pissed/confused

Is there a possibility that you're hacked, or have a rat.


Someone might know your password; or you could be ratted, and I don't know perhaps when you logged or switched worlds the person was able to get your money. I don't know if the time lapse is possible?

 

What is a rat? Roumi sent me an osbuddy client link to download via skype but i didn't download it

 

Key-logged/ Ratted; a malicious virus which collects the details of everything you do and type. Including passwords, accounts etc.. //Clicking malicious links w/ viruses.

If you think you might have a virus, scan your P.C. If it's all clear, and your still in doubt, change your Password.

Did you log out for a while before trying to sell it?

Someone could have access to your account, but if you never logged out thats not a possibility.

Maybe you banked it without thinking and it got lost in a larger cash pile?

 

I literally had my cash stack disappear today too. Except I wasn't buying anything. I logged out yesterday at GE. Logged in today, I was in lumbridge castle bank with no cash stack and everything else where it was before.

 

You guys are getting phished.

 

Unless you got rat'd or something of the source, from what I can tell the trader most likely declined the trade.

 

My computer is clean, also i second the thought of trader declining.. I didn't check my inventory Never know though

 

Just because your computer is cleaned doesnt mean you didn't get phished, from what I am reading it seemed as if you did get logged, if you dont have a logger, than more than likely you misclicked a link, and enter your info unaware of the falsified link...

Number one rule for all online activities (Especially games/shoppers) to check the address bar for the link, make sure there isn't an extra character or directory..

I mean it could of been a trade glitch, but if it were as simple as that, Im sure if the person "paid" the first time, he/she would offer it up again..

 

Phishing won't infect your computer, just a website that looks like runescape and you log in and it redirects you back to runescape webpage and makes you reenter the information again. Then it sends them the information you entered and they steal your stuff and that is why you see a bunch of people accusing bot sites or someone of hacking them.

 

You sure the trade was even accepted?
