Merchanting after the update?

What do you guys think we'll see from big merchers after the free trade update?

Jagex has said that they will be removing the minimum/maximum GE limits, does that mean we'll see desperate/impatient questers driving the price of items such as buckets of milk to 20k each, since there's no limit to what price they can buy for?

Will merch clans still work? In theory, they should still work (based on my understanding of buyouts anyways). The only difference is that they'll be screwing their members even harder. They could buy an item out around mid price, then release the item to the public and let them buy it out for 5x that price overnight. But there's pretty much no way for the members to benefit from it, since the goal price can be achieved overnight.

Idunno, I don't know much about merching, but I'm interested to hear what you guys think people will be doing to make money off of the Grand Exchange after free trade.

 

The Grand Exchange will probably be helpful for profit surely, grabbing what you can at the mid price and selling them via forums and trade for a higher price when the demand is heavy.

Unless everyone is aware of them being able to be more in control of an items price, and the G.E basically becomes unused due to greed.

 

street merchanting is going to be nearly impossible, imagine selling whips for 4mil each, somebody trades you, once they see its worth 3m they'll most likely offer u 3m or say nty. in order to street trade the trade value on the bottom of the trade has to be removed

 

Everyone is going to be greedy and rip off everyone, it will take a lot longer to buy shit then using the GE.
