Do you like sports betting?

Have you ever made some money from it? If yes, how much?

 

Personally no but my friends love betting on NBA games and college games. Sometimes winning like x30 their initial payment.

If you bet smart then you can make money in the long run, but it's quite difficult for the average person. It involves investing thousands of dollars with the odd chance of it not working. Highly risky, but it can also be made less risky through some proprietary algorithms and whatnot. How else would the professional sports bettors stay in business? It can be quite profitable, but not worth it for the average Joe. Last NFL season I made about $200 though.

 

People have different motivations for sports betting

1. Guys like to think they can predict the outcome of sports. They like to talk trash to each other and that trash talk can escalate into a bet.
2. Betting on sports makes a game you didn’t care about, interesting. There’s an edge-of-your-seat rush when you bet on a game and it’s in the final seconds and the bet is won or lost on a single shot, out, or pass.
3. It can similar to investing and profitable. If you think the odds of the Cubs beating the Dodgers in 7 games is 50/50 and I know the Cubs are at least a 60/40 favorite, you’ve giving me value if I bet 100 to get 100 on the Cubs

I like sports betting, and having it legal in New Jersey and easily accessible on my phone is great. You just need to control yourself and not make any stupid bets.

Made about 350 last year. With loses accounted

 

Used to bet $100 to $1000+ on Esports, specially csgo, stoped cuz i noticed i was getting addicted to it. Lucky I won most of my bets

Horses and greyhounds are where you can lose serious money.

Often I can put a £5 football accumulator on and win £200-1000.

I love sports betting but I only bet maximum $50 per 4 months. Have you heard of fantasy sports via yahoo? I do that and its quite entertaining to follow your team for the whole season with a chance of winning the prize money in the end. I think gambling of any kind can be healthy but it can also be detrimental to your life. You just have to decipher what you really want out of it.
