Do you like flying?

Well, I don't really like going on a airplane much. I always hate the feeling when I'm in a airport and waiting to go on a plane because I always think back to TV shows like "Air Crash Investigation" and think oh God what have I let myself in for but once I'm in the air I think to myself this is fine the people who work on the airplane have done this many times and have been fine so this one flight will go smooth. What are your views on flying and do you ever find yourself scared to go on a plane?

 

I'm never scared to go onto a plane. I love planes and I love flying. Everyone says they hate going places by plane because of luggage and security and everything. It's not that fucking big a deal, I love airports and airplanes, they're so cool. I don't know what it is, but I just feel at home in an airport.

Anyways, if the plane crashed you'd probably be dead instantly. What's to worry about?

 

I love flying, possibly the funnest method of transportation in the world.

Night flights are the best, you can just look out and see city lights, stars, the clouds, everything is just so peaceful (even the passengers).

 

I have to agree on that, I flew in to Las Vegas at night and I was like like "wow" when we was about to land. Then we hit security and there was a big hold up and that wasn't very nice but after we got our it was great!

 

TSA in Vegas is such a pain..

Yea, i love flying into anywhere west-cost from the east. Everything here is one big grid so when you fly back in all you see are lights whereas east-cost is all spread out. Not nearly as nice flying into.

 

Flying is boring, but I enjoy the take-offs and landings.

 

If I have nothing to do in an airplane, I find it boring. If it wasn't for the plane flying above the clouds, I would've enjoyed the view. I only look out the window while its under the clouds, the view is breathtaking. I also hate it because of how little space you have.. you can barely move. I know, I know.. there are much more comfortable seats but when I went in a plane, I went with my family which is very big so getting comfortable seats for everyone is out of the question. I do like flying in the airplane... I usually am excited for what I will see once I get to my destination. I hate the security check out and stuff especially when there's such a huge line. Whenever I flew, for some reason, I had connection flights and it was too much waiting time and hated it. Overall, I like the airplanes as its means vacation and good time once it's over. Like Promethium said, I feel at home in airports. I just love it.

 

Flying is pretty cool, I like how it allowed us to connect with people IRL who are very distant from us. Before WW1 it used to take days to get across Canada VIA train, but now it takes 2-3 hours depending on how big your plane is. You can fly almost anywhere in the world in a day, but before it used to take weeks to get to places like Australia and you were at the mercy of the sea.

 

I really like flying in planes that have TV's on them because they have like all the new movies and everything. I also love the views too, but I hate it when I am flying over the ocean because it just scares me and makes me think about crashing. Also the room you have is just stupid your so close to the person next you and sometimes when there is a baby that keeps on crying is just annoying.

 

I fly once or twice every month for work, its getting worse and worse every time I do it.

 

Haha, the baby crying is so annoying at times when there is one. Also I remember this women behind me didn't want me to put my seat back because she "didn't have enough room" when she had her seat back anyway so I just put it back and she complained to the air hostess about me but I have the right to put my seat back anyway as your allowed too and I ain't sitting on a plane for 10 hours with a upright seat. That would be almost impossible to bare, and impossible to get some sleep also.

 

It's pretty boring to be honest, you basically sit in a chair for a few hours.

I definitely wouldn't mind learning how to fly though, too bad it's rather expensive.

 

I have been interested in getting a few lessons in flying also, it does cost a huge sum of money what is a downside. If you take a laptop or something it can reduce your boredom level while on the plane.

 

I've never flown before but I definitely want to sometime in the near future.

 

I don't mind it. Going through security and everything is a pain, but it's not a big deal. Of course it's boring, but so is driving and it's a hell of a lot quicker, so I would definitely rather fly. I have always thought taking off was the best part and I like that feeling you get when you starting going up. I miss when they used to give you meals on flights too. I'm not sure if they still do, but I remember when flying overseas, they had TV screens on the back of the seat in front of you and you could watch movies and play solitaire and shit. Not sure if they still have that since I haven't flown overseas in years.

 

I don't think I have ever been in a plane before. I seem to have a memory from when I was really young but I may have been dreaming lol :embar:

 

Ive flown to all different parts of the world and never liked it. Sure its faster than any current transportation, but it still takes too long. The flights are better than they used to be, with wi-fi, ipads, mp3 players, etc. but its hardly entertaining. Teleportation would be my ideal transportation. Why should you have to wait to get from point A to point B in these times? Back on topic, the only way I would enjoy flying is if they made airplanes like cruises.

 

It's alright but being in cramped conditions eating shit food and hearing that one baby that always cries on flights and watching those terrible movies isn't the best.

 

Going kinda off-topic here, but why do you like cruises?
Theyre filled with boring, older, rich people and it's as if you're staying in a huge hotel for a few weeks. Shipping companies usually are always happy to boast about how you can't even get seasick/feel the ship moving.

The only good part about cruises is the crew. Crew parties are fun, and they're mostly interesting people.

 

I hate flying especially if your on a flight that is over 10 hours I hate the feeling when you look down the window and realize your like 30 KM up in the air and if something goes wrong your FUCKED but aside that the view at night when you fly past certain citys is amazing and then you realize how big this world is and actually I dont mind the hot food on the plane I just hate turbulence and landing
