I don't believe in God but I also think people can believe in what they want
I believe that something created everything, but I don't know and necessarily care what, I'd say I believe Christianities historic timeline to a point (don't believe the earth is only 6000 years old lol) Just believe it's a basis for how some things happened, I can explain if anyone cares about it, might make a thread.
Your body stores energy for later.
My point is that the author made a jump from a wavefunction collapse to an immortal soul, without showing how the former proves the latter.
You're misunderstanding my point - if a scientist has an idea, but has no supporting evidence, it's a hypothesis. That doesn't mean that science supports your point until there's evidence.
This doesn't make any sense. Can you elaborate?
You have linked articles, misleading translations of the Quran, and...that's about it.
I KNOW how to make bronze, but I don't currently have the ABILITY to do so. If I taught you how to make bronze, but didn't provide you any materials, could you make it from nothing?
False dichotomy, it's neither.
Sure, and there have been many corrupt religious leaders, but that doesn't prove all of religion wrong, now does it?
Yeah, that's really a matter of opinion.
This is a debate forum, nobody's forcing anybody to do anything.
Nobody said anything about life - all I said was that a planet doesn't need mountains.
You didn't actually ask a question.
I didn't say anything about "needing" stability.
I originally said that the universe was not perfectly harmonized, you responded:
It has to otherwise it will collapse, if one side is over proportioned if it expands to much, and is to heavy on one side it will fall. It's simple mathematics.
First of all, that doesn't even address my point, second, the universe can't "fall" into anything.
...That IS the definition. That's what dictionaries do, they define things.
Okay. How do you think people survive with artificial hearts?
If it stays with the rest of the hot lava, it stays molten. If it erupts into the air, it cools off and becomes stone.
Neat perspective, but you didn't answer the question of this thread.
Sure, I'd be interested.
I believe in myself
What do you actually mean by that?
Meaning I don't believe in any upper being, I don't put my faith in someone who is also a Homo sapien.
But you said that you believe in yourself...aren't you human too?
lol this is a stupid argument long story short I don't mind what people believe in its up to them I'm just letting you know that "I" believe in myself meaning I don't need to believe in another human being or pray/ look up to someone who is a homo sapien just like myself. get me?
Makes sense, but for future reference if you're going to post in a debate forum, you should be ready to debate.
I believe in god because of the research ive done and what my parents taught me. I dont have a problem with people who dont tho.
Can you elaborate on the research that you've done that has lead you to believe that God does indeed exist?
You should never go off what you was ''taught'' for years all religions have brainwashed people. The best way to find out what you seek is to research every aspect of religion and past yourself. If you find anything its most likely going to be UFO/Alien content more than religion
I dont need to research other religions.
Only believe in yourself always
It does appall me that a person would lend credit to UFOs or aliens for whatever they sought to be out of the ordinary but by the same token chalk up all religions as simply tools used for brainwashing and/or control. I would respectfully counter by arguing that fictional movies have been used to brainwash people (in a subtle way) to believe that UFOs or aliens exist.
As for me, I do believe in God, honestly. So I do not deny that a spiritual or supernatural realm does exist. If anyone is genuinely curious as to why, I don't mind answering. I'm just not up for endless debating and exchanging "gotcha" questions. Quite frankly I don't have the time since I work around the clock but yea there you have it.
My belief's never came from films or any sort of film. It all came from general research of my own which connects alot to the ''religion side'' of things. But anyhow i have seen one or two things that or different to what you'd see up in the stars. I can't confirm they were ufo's what i have seen but i can confirm it wasn't normal at all in any way. But i did spend months looking into everything which is were i came to believe. Films never brainwashed me otherwise i'd be saying '' i believe in zombies'' etc
