Wish I did. I'm sometimes envious of the sense of community, afterlife, motivation, purpose, etc. it provides for a lot of people.

 

Many years ago I was (10 years actually). It was until this man @Shredderbeam helped convince me otherwise when we were having a debate in a god-debate thread back in the day on Sythe. After seeing different peoples reasoning, I thought about it and even asked reasonable questions on why I believed my faith above all other religions on Earth.

I'm genuinely curious as to what your arguments are, but in a debate forum it's a little unfair to just argue "check out this other person's book/article/website/whatever". If you can summarize their arguments here, great, I'll have a look at them.

To be fair, I was a huge edge-lord back in the day, in the sense of "hahaha I'm a teenage atheist, I know everything!". Please don't judge me by my early posts.

If you read in a previous post it's an absolute fact that evolution is just a naff theory . If you have any interest in physics whatsoever you will obviously know that the construct we live in can only be made by an entity much bigger and powerful than you can care to start to imagine .

Reductive though their post was, I think Clinton was referring to something like what Douglas Hofstadter described in Gödel, Escher, Bach during the concluding conversation between the author and one of his characters, Achilles, who wonders where the beings of his dreams go when he wakes, and whose perplexity Hofstadter (the author) then addresses: "They go to the same place as the hiccups go, when you get rid of them... Perhaps, but their post stated that knowledge of physics = some sort of intelligence created universe. I can't understand that leap of logic.
