    The ACTA.

Private talks are being held, and if these people have their way it could be enacted in September.

One thing you can do without putting any additional effort upon yourself is run this whenever your computer is on: http://anti-acta.com/bomb.htm - It'll raise awareness about the invasion of your privacy whenever the acta is searched on the largest search engines.

Obviously organizing protests etc are more beneficial but if you're not going to do that at least do this.

Countries affected: Australia, Canada, the European Union, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Switzerland and the United States.

This has been all over /b/ for the past couple weeks. I feel like refreshing a google search won't do all that much.

    The ACTA.

It's basically a corporate orgasm. It'll place greater restrictions on what you can and can't do. It's the first step in turning the internet into what TV is now, basically.

I have the link running, but even if it is implemented I would assume it would be a huge mess trying to control it.

It'll still be a bother to do so.

This kind of stuff makes me so mad! The freedom of the internet is what makes it great and not a pathetic media toilet like the tv.

It'll be worse, they can search out stuff without warrants for whatever reason they place. They don't like a website? It's gone.

    The ACTA.

Anyone want a link that will run a script upon access, sending 6,000 faxes to their HQ? ;)

Well, as you can see, I completely disagree with this. It is our only real free domain left, though I believe some small global laws need to be in place over things like hacking, but we need our freedom.
