I guess the internet allows most people to express themselves more freely. The feeling of being anonymous on the internet weather false or not leads to a more genuine person on the web.

Most people truly express how they feel weather it be about a sports game or news article or about personal issues. In real life people might keep to themselves more and not pursue the attention.

I at least would rather talk about my problems in the personal support section for example rather than ask people at a local park. Although I have probably had little contact with most people on here and on sythe this provides a more comforting environment.

Oh and I'm the same exact way.

For the most part, I act the same offline and online, except I tend to be a bit more quiet/to myself when online. However, if there is a guy I talk to more and more and begin to like, that tends to bring out the 'run my mouth' side of me, lol.

do you act differently on the internet?

    Yes and no for me.

It all depends on the people that I'm with. When I'm hanging out with pretentious "mature" people, then I don't act like I act on the internet at all.

But when I'm with my friends and people that I'm comfortable with then I pretty much act the same, to an extent.

do you act differently on the internet?

I act fairly differently yes. I think I'm a nicer guy on the internet, me and my real life friends are rather sarcastic people and we skit at each other; we all know it's jokingly. On the internet how ever I try to lay off the jokes with people I haven't talked to much, as some people take things too seriously. So I am just nice all the time until I know how well you can take a joke lool :)

My vocabulary doesn't change, however I daresay I'm more comfortable saying things in the internet. Why? From a social perspective we're all essentially equal. Also, if I say something which in real life would cause some amount of drama, it's a non-issue online.
