Writing on other users gold buying threads.

Hi, I am going to keep this short and get straight to the point. When I look though market threads all I tend to see on new user threads are people spamming saying TWC PayPal can be reversed etc etc. Its so not needed, maybe a stickie thread in the market section but for normal users to go round spamming every gold thread to get their post count up and saying TWC when people are trying to buy gold is so annoying. I will post a example of this,

Clearly he is not that highly vouched so saying the market value for gold is 0.27 - 0.35 is not even correct really. Unless you are like R2Pleasent or Grave or someone you are not going to get no where near 0.30ish if your buying via PayPal. I think there should be a infraction every time someone posts something like this on a thread. It is borderline back seat moderating in my eyes.

Just report it. If it is something seriously spamming then the mods will take care of it.

Funny thing is Desir0 started doing the same thing, its so annoying.

 

That kid's thread reads like a scam, also $.45 is an absurd price to be paying for bulk gold. There's a lot of risk there. Sellerman might be overstepping some bounds, but ultimately he's just trying to prevent scams. And there's nothing in that post he made that's untrue, he refrains from calling OP an outright scammer, and we have a sticky that says that overpaying for gold is almost always a scam. Again, he might be overstepping a bound by potentially ruining this guy's business though

 

I just believe if someone like Sellerman has a issue with someones thread then he can report it, if it was a serious legitimate business then he could of ruined the guys chance. He should let the moderators decide if the thread is fine, not take it in to his own hands and spam a thread.

Agreed, mods need to look in to it on individual posts.

I'm pretty sure nobody has the time to go through everyone's posts in each market section to see who is trying to scam and keep up with current prices of items/ gp at the same time.

 

I think you misunderstand me a bit. My statement is that mods must look into a post before giving out a warning. In your reply you're stating the mod is looking into the member of the original post which is Aussiebrah, in my statement I'm talking about the member making the 'warning' post for others which is Sellerman.

As you've written your post I fully agree. No one has the time or is willing to go through a member his posts.
