I would replace 4gb ram with 2gb ddr3 if your going to get xp/windows 7. Or then get 4gb of ddr3. Much faster.
And maybe phenom instead http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103674 (From a customer ..Crysis, 1900 maxed out with 4890, R-Factor maxed out 1900 with the 4890..)
But if you cant spend more then i think that that will run crysis smoothly, it doesnt need such high end hardware anymore. (Well, not SO high end hardware)

Just dont spend your money on dual core processors anymore because quads are much more 'bang for your buck' :D

Most games are meant for Nvidia cards tbh i would replace yours with a gtx 260 core 216 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150329 i guess if you really want radeon u can stay but the gtx 260 core 216 does rape, if i can find this article i once had ill post it here i think it compares the 2 cards side by side.

Also if your willing to spend 50 bucks more you can get a C2Q 2.66 ghz wich would be way better than yours, i ahve a friend that has this exact processor, and he has NEVER got it to 100% usage, even when installing cod4, running a virus scan, and playing assasins creed all at the same time it was at 86% max. :http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3591372&CatId=3406

also i am personally a hater of MSI so i would more recommend an XFX nforce 680i if you can find one, i hear they are amazingly stable and a good product, just do some looking, also no matter what processor your going to get, your going to have to have a CPU cooler, dont get some crappy one either get a good one :D

just found this ram for like 2 dollars more than yours, but instead of 667 mhz its 800mhz so faster and better :D plus corsair is the best brand for memory and PSU's IMO

also found the article for you http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nvidia-gtx-280,1953.html

its comparing 1 gtx 260 to 2 hd3870's in crossfire which im thinking is like one 4980, and getting just about the same fps except this card is cheaper and is Nvidia
yeah just look through those articles and compare

Sometimes people will never learn, NEVER be cheap with an PSU... Upgrade it to an antec 600 watts atleast.

Power n cooling is one of the best psu, if you can't afford that go with an antec... 600-650 watts should be good. Never go cheapo with an psu.
