How to activate spell check in web page forums (Firefox)

Do you use Firefox? Have you ever been searching on Google or YouTube and can’t seem to spell a word correctly and that darn spell check just won’t work in web page forums? If so I have a simple solution to that and it won’t take more than five minutes of your time! I hope this guide will help everyone that doesn't know how to do this already.​

You will need Mozilla Firefox before we get started, It can be downloaded here
Now that you have everything you need, lets get started!




Type ‘about:config’ in the address bar to start things off. You should get a page that looks like this:



Click on the ‘I’ll be careful, I promise!’ box and continue onwards.

The next page you come to will look something like this:



Type in the filter field layout.spellcheck the only thing that should come up is layout.spellcheckDefault. Double click that and it should bring up something that looks like this:



The integer in the field should be set to 1 by default. Change that 1 to a 2
