    [DLs] Tournament Board Layouts [TuTs]

    Introduction to Tournament Boards

Hey all. When I was in the Chess Tournament, I decided to help out others, and John, by making a Tournament Board. I then went on to make a layout so that others would be able to fill in their own.

As of now, I have only made a 32 man layout, however I think I will make an 8 man*, and a 16 man* layout. But all I've seen so far on Sythe are 32 man tournaments. Bear in mind that these are "bracket" layouts.

The only thing I ask is that you leave the credits to me in. I spent a lot of time on the layouts. Thanks a lot.

I have now finished my first layout, and so all you need to do is fill it in with the names of the contestants! Below is the download link.

    Download Links

    - Mediafire.
    - MegaUpload.

If neither of these work, please request a new mirror uploader.

How to Use Them and Tips & Tricks

How to Upload Them in Picture Form

    Step 1.
In this tutorial, I am using my 32 man layout. Bear in mind that I have configured my layout to do this task specifically, by merging them. If you use someone else's layout, it may not work.

Assuming that you have already filled it in, and have it open, go to the bottom of the layout and hold and click on the bottom left corner (basically, the last contestant). Make sure that the white 'plus' cursor has appeared and drag across. It should now look like this.

    Step 2.

Now, in the top left corner of the Excel toolbar, there is a big icon saying 'Paste'. Click the small arrow beneath it, and then go to 'As Picture' and finally, click 'Copy as Picture..'

A small box will appear. Copy in these settings below, and your tournament board will have been copied to your clipboard.

    Step 3.

The rest is self-explanatory. Paste it into 'Paint' and then Save it as a Bitmap, or a .jpeg if you're really stingy with time and memory (bear in mind, they look alot worse) :3
And the beauty of it is, since I merged the cells together, it will have auto-selected everything at the top since everything is joined together by some line or just touching. Thus, you need to do less :)

More tutorials included in later posts.

    Hope you use them well.
