    iPod music sync help required

So I have a couple of playlists of songs that I listen to and I want to chuck them onto my new iPod. I have already put them onto my phone since I can do it through windows media player piece of piss and they show up as unknown artist, I just combined the two playlists into one for the sake of my phone.

With the iPod however, you have to do it through the poverty iTunes... I have like 600 songs with no artist information and so I can't exactly just put them all on my phone and go through them without killing myself first.

Anyone have any bright ideas for getting the following playlists ONLY onto my iPod? Is there any way to export a playlist from windows media player to iTunes and then sync only that playlist?

    Cheers

I had a look around windows media player, hopefully this is what you're after.

In windows media player, go to the library view. Double click the playlist you want - start playing it. http://gyazo.com/0dfdd4fe7180118ca1156f3d77b81dd7

Go to the menu, file, and choose 'save now playing list as', choose .m3u, and save it somewhere.

Open itunes and drag the saved .m3u file in. It should create a new itunes playlist with the songs from your windows media playlist.

With your ipod connected, go to the ipod options in itunes. Choose 'Music' in the menu, and choose selected playlists etc. instead of whole library. Choose your playlist only, and sync it. http://gyazo.com/f52f426e29e6624ee6471ad3ba6a1cc9

Thanks for the prompt reply man, checked it out and it worked for me, cheers.

Just now thought of syncing the playlists to a pen drive via windows media player and adding an artist (will just call the artist the name of my playlist) and from there, importing that into iTunes so I think I'll go with that so I am still able to have the two playlists split up.

Seems whatever way I do it is just gonna be painful though haha

EDIT: My way did not work but yours did, cheers nic0
