I've been in Bronze 1 on the EUW servers for quite a few months now.

As I've been in the same league I find it less fun as I can't enjoy getting into higher leagues... ect

Half the games I join have at least one troll in them, which makes most games severely frustrating, does anyone have any tips to stop trolls ruining game play?

Going to say what I tell everyone who complains about trolls/'elo hell'.

Every tier has trolls/afkers/greifers, albeit generally the higher you are you don't frequent them as much. If you deserve to be higher, you will climb out. If you've been in bronze the entire season, it's safe to say that's where you belong - skill wise.

In regards to preventing people from trolling - mute/ignore them, and simply carry. Engaging them in a conversation and or entertaining their whining only enhances their want to troll.

You've gotta pick a strong champ, learn the map & game very well, and carry. Forget about your team (you can't do anything to change them) and focus on what you did wrong.

Do your best to ignore them, then focus on getting better by yourself.

A very close friend of mine is a Diamond I/Challenger support who's almost definitely going to qualify for the Season 4 NA LCS, and last season he was in Silver. He says literally the only changes he made were were taking tips from me (if he gets famous, I'm SO going to quote him on that one) and learning to only blame himself for losing games. If you simply focus on everything you can do better and improve those aspects of your play, you'll find yourself being able to carry games you could never carry before.

I understand your point, although I haven't been on League much and when I do I hardly want to play ranked because of the trolls. I've played two games today as Leona support and it just seems like playing support I can't change games and carry or stop people from trolling games or feeding. The two ranked games I did have today both only gained me about 6 LP.

I've boosted my friend account from S5 to G4 in two days and his MMR is horrible. My suggestion is to turn off all chat (it SUCKS but you are here to win) and play champion that snowball hards. Seriously, the meta is horrible at those level and you can win with basically any team comp as long as you are mechanically good and know how to do win (doing objectives, ganking easy lanes, etc etc). I played Lucian mid/top like 80% of those games and didn't care what my teammate asked me to do because I know I can win the lane easily and move on from there. Ignore the ragers and if your one of them (like myself), just put them on ignore and move on.

Another thing is to duo with a good player and listen to each other to win games. Your 20% of your team and you can increase that to 30-70% if you play very well.

If you don't get what I mean by saying your 20% of the team. It means you are 1 of the 5 players and you make 20% or higher of the outcome of the game.

Basically to carry out of bronze you have to be good enough to do well in gold. If you get a troll in 5/6 games is pretty much the average now than you need to be a strong champ who can get fed early and be able to 2 on 1 their team. Odds are their team has trolls too. Always use the mute button, arguing is why a lot of people are stuck in bronze. NEVER blame anyone but yourself and always try to learn from your mistakes. You'll make it, good luck!

People are right: it's almost more about what you play than how you play. Some champions are just better at carrying themselves than others.

For example, while Shen is functionally a very strong pick, he is pretty weak in low level solo queues. He's almost just considered dead weight unless a team can coordinate plays around his unique style. On the other hand, really self-efficient champions are very good in Bronze. Most assassins fare well against noobs who either don't know how to play or don't even have runes and are basically guaraanteed to lose their lane.

It's my favorite to play top against someone with 20 starting armor because they don't even have armor golds :D

Supports can easily win games. As a support, you should have one focus in soloq, and that is get your AD huge. Have map awareness, work on your positioning and learn lane match-ups.

Also, communication wins games. Tell your AD that you are going in when you ping if you are leona, have coordination. The biggest thing that will throw a game away quickly, is fighting when you are BEHIND.

A general tip, kills are easier to make up than farm. If you are an AD/Mid/Top, focus on FARM. This is not to say do't go for a kill when one presents itself, but if it's a 50/50... take the farm.

You'll get out eventually, you just need to get a champion pool and focus on being good at those select champions, then branch out as you get into higher elo.

A few champs that I enjoy playing while boosting in bronze/silver/gold. These champs for me are insane duelists/can carry games.

Note: Myself I'm a support main, preferring jungle/top if not support (in Diamond, at lower levels I can play anything).

You still play Shaco? God I haven't seen a worthwhile Shaco in months. The poor guy got nerfed to hell when noobs were outraged that they never could pop a fucking pink ward in their lane and constantly fed.

Shaco is still a strong champion. It's just a little harder to gank since you have to place your box correctly before or right after you attack. Not a lot of people plays him because they don't want to deal with that nerf.

Yeah I've seen some still really absurdly hilarious Shacos get absurdly fed, but ever since the reduction on his stealth, I don't see him much. It just takes a lot of effort, and his generally low every other stat means why bother? There are champions who are forever OP in the jungle like Lee Sin and J4 instead. :p

This. Just get a small pool of champions that you are comfortable with and know how to play well with them.

I have a ton of fun playing Shaco successfully up to mid-high Plat, just because people still don't respect his mechanics as much as they should ;)

Shaco is fun to play. Usually, if play correctly, will always get 1st blood and snowball from there.
