Discussing a potential 2007 GE buyout as a group.

Can anyone explain to me how this works out for everyone involved?

I see a few respected people here interested in joining, I'm confused about what I'm missing.

What you're essentially doing is creating fake demand for said item, then dump. I.e, Pump-and-dump. This only works out for the people who sell early, leaves everyone else with items with fake demand? Therefore they loose money?

 

Not if you have a well constructed and organized buy and sell. Everyone who contacted me kinda piddered off but I've been making upwards of 15-30M a month just holding an item in my bank

think of it as a little long-term flipping but with created demand.

 

This just seems like a major scam waiting to happen. Merch clans always end bad, and this has similar traits.

Having this closed due to mass speculation. I'm making money just buying out with a group of 3 people. Organized buys and sells of specific quantity dumps create a fake demand with a very balanced supply (us). If you are interested in how to properly begin a buyout and how to decide the best prices and quantities to sell, feel free to shoot me a PM. Everyone here assumes that we are a giant merching clan looking to dump shit all at once on everyone else. rofl. The point of designated sells is so that regardless of the individuals buying power and their stock of the item, they will be making the same return on investment (percentage-wise) by selling the same quantities as those with larger stocks, until said person is out of stock.

(ex. one day we might all decide to sell 100 ea of an item if we expect the market demand to be ~ double our overall selling. (100 items x 3 ppl x double demand = we predict 600 units to be purchased.) [Remember this is an example with fake #'s)

 

I'm sorry if you've took my comments as being suspicious of you, I was more warning others what the potential damage was if they get themselves into a pump-and-dump scheme. However, if you're successfully doing it between three people, I'd say stick with that. Trying to do it with more people will simply destroy your work and potentially leave you as the "victim" in a situation like that.

Again, I wasn't trying to point any fingers, I was merely pointing out what could happen, then questioned what I was missing.

I guess if you are genuine, then it really could be a good thing. However, having everyone as genuine as yourself would be incredibly difficult to achieve when more people are added to the pot.

 

Nah I'm not blaming you. It's all good man. The reason I approached to more people is that more people means more demand and higher rises. I may be trying to reintroduce this in the future on sythe.

 

Would not join. Also, many don't know but ge manipulation is a bannable offense.

 

This seems like an interesting idea, would only be interested if it wasn't a ban able offense though.
