Discord trading text channel categories

As all the people that use discord often probably already know, the trading channel is pretty much just a bunch of spam posts of people posting 5 links and taking the entire page up of their threads on Sythe. I propose that there be categories for the trading channel, these are super simple and easy to setup.

Reasons I think this is good:
It would clean up the trading channel first off.
The main purpose of Sythe is for trading, so why not make it easier for people to do so in the Official Sythe Discord.
It would look better, and make the trading channel used more.

It could look something similar to this:

There could be more channels, but I think this is the bare minimum that would work well.

As I said in the first sentence about people just posting a bunch of links to there thread and taking the whole page up of only their threads. I think this would definitely combat that and make people more likely to join the Discord and use this. I think a lot of people don't even bother looking in the trade channel atm because of all the nonsense spam.

There could be a call for moderation with this as well, say if people don't want to post their links/comments in the correct channel a discord mod could delete the post, and if they continue to do so possibly other consequences may occur.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, I haven't made many suggestions, so I'm not entirely sure if I'm missing any key information about my point I'm trying to get across.

OT: think it would be a good idea; half the time it's stuff being posted im not interested in, so i can only imagine most other people that use that channel have the same feelings as me; would be nice to mute channels that aren't relevant to each individual, so not notified of someone selling an autobumper etc (@GOAT) or random other shit (@Talon )

Ya I didn’t even think of this, I’m glad you brought up the muting the channels that you don’t care about thing, pretty sure you can even hide them so you don’t even see them.

 

That seems like an accidental contradiction to me. I feel like what you said is a good reason for the channel to be removed altogether.

You can. Right-click on the channel to mute it and then hide muted channels.

 

I support more categorys in the trading section for sythe discord. I'd like filter out of some of the sections I don't use like accs.

 

I think you maybe misread what I was getting at, or possibly I wasn’t clear.

I am interested in the trade channel, but more than half the time the new content isn’t what I’m interested in because it’s simply one channel.

If it was split into several channels, I could mute for example misc, services and things like that, and keep accounts/gold unmuted.

I just checked the #Trade channel and to my suprise it is fairly active, never noticed. Because of this I support the suggestion from the OP, having categories would be nice. Other trading Discord's do it like that too; different categories for different kind of items/services.

 

Support currently its just a cluster of various items being posted, this would make the discord more meaningful

 

support for the reasons listed above by @DesireX and @Dieze. It would make it easier to follow and lots are on Sythe for only one particular interest.

 

Testing this out. If the channels aren't active after a month it will be reverted.
