Discord moderation standards

It is no secret that this website outside of the market section is pretty much non-existent. Threads get created and go dormant only getting replies from other users also seeking to revive the community sections. The Sythe Discord pretty much follows suits with the site. The market sections are continuously being flooded by people bumping their stuff while General chat and other non-market sections see very little interactions. Users such as and in no particular order; @Sinister @Grams @Liam @CuppaJava @Melly @Zulu and myself who try to start and have wholesome conversations to bring engagement to the community. You would think staff would want to keep those who are looking to grow the community rather then trying to run them off with constant kicking. I left my roll as a member of the CDT as I did not want my battle to reflect them and/or bring unnecessary issues to them.

With that being said, there is a global moderator who finds it humorous to create these games He's created where he rolls a dice and chooses the fate of if you get removed or not. This created game he has made it generally only targets users trying to bring activity to the Discord. 60% of the time if the dice lands on the number he States he does not take the action he says but rather just a haha joke. The remaining 40% of the time he takes action on what he said he was going to do. These actions normally consist of kicking a user from the Discord. The action has also been muting deafen or unable to join voice chat should you be in a voice chat at the same time he is. Not only is this a childish game that some 16-year-old kid would play with some girl that he had a crush on, it makes new users who join think if they become active in talking, they may be targeted by this individual. If you try to confront this individual and/or tell them you will bring it to uppers attention, he finds a way to try to make himself the victim and that you were in the wrong which is why you received the kick. However, a quick look in the general chat you will see where he posted his game and rolled the number he said he was going to roll and/or spam rolled and deleted till he got what he wanted then kick you.

Though, yes, I understand the general chat is in a way an extension of the spam forums, however, I don't see the moderation team going into that section and just randomly kicking people so that we're not able to talk in there if they rolled the dice on the forums. There should be some type of consistency on moderation standards in the Discord that would match the website.

It should also be noted that an integrity check and a check on the staff member's ability to remain unbiased while performing the duties of Staff are there as they would appear to not be. As this individual has either lied to me and or upper staff, the rationale of their actions. And this individual is unable to remain unbiased as he allows biased personal opinion to play into his factors of who he is and isn't going to kick.

 

Sounds like we need a community fuhrer.

I don't even see any mods active in discord, except some rare occasions where they post some gooner slop.
Let them stay in their report sections fighting 3rd worlders, and let community choose their own leader.

 

Why are you complaining about the discord server. As you said yourself, it's an extension of SF

should've left @Grams and @BMF Jay Hill banned from Sythe. I believe the mods unbanned you guys to boost activity in SF to troll you guys.
