I really like Moiltic's Rule Reform too!

 

I will support anything that gives any disadvantage to those scum, but i feel like this is nowhere enough knowing the damage that they do. I would prefer something where an user found guilty of tweeting would get all his "rights" removed so any1 scamming/doxing/haxing/doing any other damage to a tweeter would remain unpunished

 

I think a harder a pouch is needed as well. Moiltic's rule reform does have a chance of passing so I think in this a pouch we should also include non members.

Completely 100% support this. Tweeting has made a giant dent in the staking community as a whole. For this new anti-cheating specialist and how active they've actually been with the bans, it's had an impact on almost everyone involved. Tweeting is based off of others who have a vendetta against someone, or out of pure spite that their accounts may have been banned, while others haven't.

These little 3/6 month bans aren't teaching anyone lessons to anyone, and hopefully this suggestion will make them learn the hard way by blocking trading outlets to themselves.

 

Agreed. Never want to see them back on this site. And I think everyone who has tweeted in the past and has been banned for it (even if now pardoned). Should be off this site completely as well

 

People can reform. The websites trying to make the rehabilitation process easier, this goes against that stance.

 

What a shitty thing to do. Why should they even deserve a second chance?

 

If we remove second chances for tweeting the same should be done for scamming...

Also, where do you draw the line? What if someone decides to tweet someone for botting instead of rwt, is this the same punishment? Its a shitty thing to do but its no different than just reporting someone through the osrs interface.

I feel as if you're out to hurt somebody for more than they should lose if you were to consciously scam them (tweeting)

Fuck tweeting. All I know is, if you're in this community to do business, you should respect the people around you. Just like the real business world. Be competitive, but don't be a fuck about it.

 

This violates the fundamentals of the pardon system.

I would prefer a system where tweeters are forced to repay 1.5x-2x the damages they owe for and that money can go towards the teams/staff/etc.

Violating the fundamentals of the pardon system is not a route I would find acceptable taking.

No support, I will however support other ideas regarding harsher tweeter solutions just not this particular one.

 

If you rwt/ bot on the account you should expect to eventually be banned so best to manage the risk. A person who does business on here also doesn't expect to be scammed so why give somebody who has come with the intention to hurt the community another chance?

At the end of the day, if you do business on here you're breaking the ToS that you agree to when you play the game and to be honest with Jagex cracking down more you should expect to eventually get banned.

 

So with the reply that I am quoting right now, you think it is okay for RWT'ers to be in contact with Jagex to get other RWT'ers banned?

 

I'd say its a shitty thing to do but I don't think its worse than straight out scamming someone which is the point of my post. If you want to give no second chances for tweeting/ reporting people to Jagex, there should also be no second chances for scamming.

Also with regards to my initial question, where would you draw the line? If the person is a known scammer is it wrong to report his rs accs to Jagex? If an account I bought is recovered, I would easily be willing to report it along with all of the info I have on the seller to Jagex. I also bot accounts here and there, if somebody sets up a bot or a bunch of bots right beside me I have no problems reporting them just like they have no problems reporting my account...

We also have a list of rs accounts not to buy, would you be against somebody sharing this list with Jagex? List of accounts NOT to purchase; click to report recovered accounts!

It seems like this only relates to the duel arena where a lot of shitty things already happen...

 

I honestly may be misunderstanding what you're saying in your first post. To answer your questions in the posts above --

I feel as if these users that are tweeting RWT'ers are consciously doing it - they aren't scamming because it's not necessarily taking others money and running away with it. For instance, qbdyce, was a trusted user in the market that didn't directly steal people's money however he did indirectly get other people's money taken. Yes, they should be banned, just like people who are dealing an account that was recovered in this marketplace.

Enough is enough when they are proved to get other users CONSCIOUSLY banned in RS.

 

I support this. I've seen some hostile suggestions on this topic and find this one is more suited for the site
