Briefly explain the trade: Trading 12M RSGP for a month of membership.
How they scammed: I paid, he logged off.
Proof that you were not talking to an impostor: The MSN was on his account as well as in the post and it said to contact him through it.

Check his thread, the cost of his upgrades are 12M which I clearly traded a character that he verified to be him and the email is also the one listed on his post.

Even more suspicious, now that I've told him I've got proof of him ripping me off he suddenly removes his MSN details from sythe and adds skype details, playing the "I lost my MSN" card.

You're right, he has edited all his recent posts & his profile to make it look like he does not use that e-mail/you spoke with an impostor.
