So last night I went out to dinner with my girlfriend at the diner we always go to. There's one of those toy grabbing game machines out in the entryway and apparently this like 6 or 7 year old boy had been playing with it and won a couple of stuffed animal guys. This family with a couple of young girls (like 4 or 5 I'd guess) were sitting at the counter waiting for a table to open up and the boy walks up form behind me with the toys and offers them to the girls and explains himself to their parents without missing a beat before he went back to his table. Whoever his parents are obviously are doing a great job and it made me to know that not everyone is a total self serving dick.

Just thought I'd share and see if anyone else has anything that makes them want to continue living on earth.

That kid is going places with those kinds of social skills. Especially at such a young age.

For me, what happened was I'm just learning to drive a standard, and I stalled when the light turned green, and I looked in my rear view mirror just as I was finally got going (stalled for a good 4-5 seconds lol) and the person behind me just gave me the thumbs up and it actually just brightened up my day, to know there are patient, kind drivers who aren't complete assholes out there. Like you said, it restored some faith for the human race in my eyes.

It's fairly easy to be a kind person. We all have our times of being pricks and doing bad things, but we grow.

It's a shame he'll probably lose that confidence and caring nature as he grows up in a 21st Century society.

There may be some things to note:

    - The boy may be only trying to get girls.
    - He will become much more of a "tool" in the future.

Call me cynical, but I think myself as realistic.

Even so he was going the right way about it, a infatuation with the opposite sex is fine and the age and what he did was perfectly fine, I he grows up and hes giving flowers to the girls he likes, he will greatly increase my faith that all guys arent like me.

Not at 6 or 7 years old... and the girls were like 4 or 5. At that age, all the guys in my school thought girls had cooties...

Last month I felt that human beings can be supportive when they feel they need to be, even total strangers.

He has obviously been brought up to share, say in the situation he is given a pack of sweets. He's be taught that it's right to share them with everyone before digging in yourself. As I was. To this day, I'll offer anything out before having it myself.

But people going as far as saying he would be a tool in 21st Century society need to get a grip, as there is a big difference between a child offering other children toys "Sharing" and being a tool. He only knows what's right by his parents teachings and to him it was right to share his toys as he had many.

It is sad how it is almost 'strange' to see a young kid commit such a random act of kindness in this modern world. I think that kid is proably going in the right direction in his life though, and hopefully he remains like that and doesn't become corrupted as he grows older.

Or who knows, maybe he was just trying to pick up some chicks and he is a player in the making?

By the looks of it, he's either being taught how to be a gentleman, or he's learning how to pick up girls at a young age.

Either way, kid is going to be a legend.

People like you are the precise reason for my lack of faith in humanity. >_<

Anyway, on topic... That's pretty impressive for a young kid. It's nice to find the odd person who is completely selfless. I wish there were more like him.
